Week of November 7- December 13:

• This weekend: Second collection to help fund poinsettias for the Christmas altar.

• Monday, December 8: The Immaculate Conception, a Holy Day of Obligation. Mass at 5:30 p.m.

• Tuesday, December 9: Andrew Dinner at the Basilica of St. John in Des Moines. Holy Hour at 5:30 p.m., dinner at 6:00 p.m. Young men are invited to learn about the priesthood. More information is available on the diocesan website.

• Thursday, December 11:
  • Women of Sacred Heart Christmas Tea at Homestead at 2:30 p.m. All are welcome.
  • Knights of Columbus Meeting – Mass at 6:30 p.m., dinner at 7:00 p.m., meeting to follow.

• Angel Tree: Additional tags are available in the parish center. Please take a tag to help provide Christmas gifts for a child in need.

• Wednesday, December 17: Women of Sacred Heart will meet after the 8:30 a.m. Mass to assemble homebound baskets. More information is in the bulletin.

• New Parish Directory                           Photographers will be here Friday, December 19; and Saturday, December 20. Call the office to     schedule a time to have your picture taken for the new parish directory.  

• Parish Office: The office will be closed December 20–January 4. Bulletins for December 28 and January 4 will be printed early. Please submit announcements by December 18.

• 2026 Calendars: Free calendars are available at the back of the church.

• 2026 Tithing Envelopes: Please pick up your envelopes at the back of the church.

• Mass Offering Update: Beginning January 1, 2026, the standard Mass offering across Iowa will be $10 per Mass. Intentions received before that date will be honored at the original amount.

• Help Wanted     Our parish is in need of altar servers, Eucharistic ministers, greeters, and lectors.
  If you can serve in one of these ministries, please contact the parish office.

• Wednesday Night RE Meals   Volunteers are needed to help prepare Wednesday night Religious Education meals.
  Please contact Theresa Lahart to sign up.

• Parish Registration   If you are new to Sacred Heart or have not yet registered, please pick up a registration form at the back of the church. Once completed, drop it in the mail slot at the parish office.

• If you missed a previous week's bulletin, copies are available in the basket marked "Previous Week Bulletin" at the back of the church.
